Life continues to stay busy as we discover new and exciting things in our home city. I love having a MLB stadium so close to our home. We’ve been out to the ballpark many, many times in the past few months. Now we have pre-season NFL games starting up too. As a sports fan, I’m loving every minute.
For the 4th straight month we have been able to record a GAIN to our net worth! As of the end of September 2005, our net worth has increased by $5,464 to a new total of $52,653. In August we set a new record for most “dollar increase” ever — well, we just broke that record again with September’s increase! And even more exciting is that we crossed over the $50,000 net worth threshold!

Why Back-Date Posts?
I mentioned in my first post how this blog will be a little different than any other ones you may follow. I still plan to talk about personal finance, rental property, travel, and the pursuit of financial independence. But to give all these topics the right context and the full picture, I need to start at the beginning. I need to fill in the details of life from 2005 until now. I want you to see the successes, the struggles, and all the milestones we passed along the way.
