Life continues to stay busy as we discover new and exciting things in our home city. I love having a MLB stadium so close to our home. We’ve been out to the ballpark many, many times in the past few months. Now we have pre-season NFL games starting up too. As a sports fan, I’m loving every minute.
For the 4th straight month we have been able to record a GAIN to our net worth! As of the end of September 2005, our net worth has increased by $5,464 to a new total of $52,653. In August we set a new record for most “dollar increase” ever — well, we just broke that record again with September’s increase! And even more exciting is that we crossed over the $50,000 net worth threshold!
Noteworthy highlights for the September 2005 update:
- It was a quiet month in terms of big changes or activities. There were none! Just the routine contributions to our Roth IRA accounts at Vanguard, my wife’s contribution to her company’s 401(k) plan, and additional savings into our Taxable Brokerage Accounts also at Vanguard.
- Rental income has been holding steady at $1,560/month ($780 per unit). We will see a decrease starting on November 1st since we gave one tenant notice that we’re ending their lease. It’s been nice collecting this larger amount each and every month! I’ll be a little sad to see it go. So next month…..tomorrow actually…..I’ll have to enjoy depositing that larger amount one last time!
